Public Health Professor writes for Deseret News

Dr. Lori Spruance Op/Ed

Dr. Lori Spruance is no stranger to research on child nutrition. Her primary research interest is childhood obesity prevention. Because she is passionate about children’s wellbeing and success in school, Dr. Spruance began her research on the School Breakfast Program. She evaluates programs that improve the physical activity and nutrition of children and adolescents, with a particular interest in the School Breakfast Program. Ultimately, she wants every child to have the chance to be healthy and academically successful.
