BYU Public Health students and the BYU Civil Rights Seminar

BYU Civil Rights Seminar

Juliette Green and Gina Dorsan, BYU Public Health students had the opportunity to participate in the BYU Civil Rights Seminar and then presented their experiences to the Student Success Inclusion Office with hopes to create awareness about how impactful this seminar can be for BYU students. The seminar lasted for five days in Atlanta and Alabama. BYU students had the opportunity to visit historic Civil Rights sites and meet with prominent leaders of the Civil Rights Movement. “This seminar is designed for students to develop an informed perspective on racial inequality and the Civil Rights Movement. With this understanding, students will be more prepared to cultivate racial equality within their everyday interactions, among their friends and families, and throughout their broader communities.” For more information on how to get involved in the BYU Civil Rights Seminar visit this website https://fhss.byu.edu/Pages/Civil-Rights-Seminar.aspx
