Profile
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
The incredible public health faculty members, my husband Daniel Shaw, family, and friends
What I enjoyed most about my experience at BYU was:
I enjoyed that this degree was as rewarding as it was difficult. I never felt like I was coasting through my degree and the consistent struggle taught me how to be resilient academically.
While earning my degree I was involved in the following clubs/organizations:
I was involved in the Allied Health Club, Residence Halls Association, GymKids, Symphonic Band, University Chorale, and Balinese Gamelan. I also worked as a Serbo-Croatian teacher at the MTC, research assistant, and teaching assistant.
I plan to use my degree to:
I hope to someday return to the Balkan region to support and empower people through occupational therapy.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
We are moving to Kansas next month! I was admitted into the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at the University of Kansas Medical Center and I am grateful that I get to continue learning there.
