Emphasis in Health Science

Profile

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My mom and dad, siblings, grandparents, and friends. I also received immense support from the anatomy faculty (Dr. Adams, Dr. Hernandez, Rachel Novak, and Dr. Wisco) and all my public health professors who inspired me every time I entered their classrooms.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at BYU was:
I have loved my time teaching human anatomy over the last four years. I learned so much every day (about science and life) from the other teaching assistants and students. The anatomy program brought me my best friends and favorite BYU memories. I also loved doing research with several public health professors. They inspired me to work hard and use my education to improve the lives of others.

While earning my degree I was involved in the following clubs/organizations:
The Anatomy Lab, Anatomy Academy, BYU Association of Future Female Physicians

I plan to use my degree to:
Apply to medical school and become a physician. I expect my public health education to aid me as I look to provide medical care to underserved communities who do not have adequate access to healthcare. I am especially interested in emergency medicine and pediatrics, and hope to have the opportunity to work in rural communities or as a doctor in the correctional system.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Med school applications and interviews, working in the anatomy lab at Rocky Mountain University, and going skydiving to celebrate graduating!
