Profile
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My wife, my parents, and my outstanding professors (Drs. Glenn, Johnston, Novilla, Spruance, and more)
What I enjoyed most about my experience at BYU was:
Building relationships with peers and professors. While there was so much to learn in the classroom, learning from experience is critical-- especially in public health. I loved hearing about the opinions, experiences, and goals of my fellow public health students. I will always treasure the friendships that formed from group projects and tough classes. They made my university experience a personal one.
While earning my degree I was involved in the following clubs/organizations:
"BYU Public Health Association
BYU Pre-Med Club
Kennedy Center for International Studies
Honors Program"
I plan to use my degree to:
Make personal connections with individuals and help patients avoid downstream health problems. As a future physician, I hope to advocate for health policy changes that will benefit the uninsured/underinsured, low-income groups, and vulnerable populations. Along with that, I look forward to working with individuals and families to develop more personal approaches to overcoming health obstacles.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Pursuing 10 more years of graduate school and residency programs
