Masters of Public Health

Profile

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My parents who have always encouraged me and told me that I could do anything I set my mind to. Additionally, my friends who always supported me and lifted me up.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at BYU was:
The people (students and professors). Meeting and becoming friends with my cohort was such a blessing and I am grateful everyday for their friendship and support. Additionally, having teachers who care about you as both a student and an individual was such a blessing and made all the difference. Inner-tube water polo intramurals takes second place ;)

While earning my degree I was involved in the following clubs/organizations:
Vice President of the Graduate Student Society, SOPHE member, and MPH Student Representative.

I plan to use my degree to:
work for a nonprofit centering on maternal and infant mortality or refugee health. I would love to work in developing countries because I am very passionate about helping to improve health while still maintaining the cultural traditions, integrity and prerogatives that make each country so unique and beautiful.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
No more homework and making a salary! Mostly I'm excited to get to start a new journey and see what the future holds for me.
