Profile
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My parents and friends have been my greatest supporters while I was earning my degree here at BYU. My parents were always there to encourage me, listen to my stress rants, remind me of my skills and keep me going. My friends were my study buddies, my teachers, my lunch dates, my quizzers, the supplier of my laughs.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at BYU was:
I enjoyed learning more about public health! All the nitty gritty science facts about our bodies and health; my favorite. I enjoyed learning things that would help me understand what my doctor was saying or what is happening to me/my friends. My favorite classes were womens' health, microbiology, anatomy and chronic disease and religion. Along with the academics, I LOVED the boys volleyball games, Divine Comedy shows, late nights with my friends, and devotionals.
While earning my degree I was involved in the following clubs/organizations:
-
I plan to use my degree to:
I want to become a health coach and my degree is one step in that direction. I am going to get my certification through an online program and apply for jobs after that. I have a great desire to better understand how nutrition, exercise and a positive mindset will improve wellbeing.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Applying what I have learned to contribute to the public health sector! I am so excited to teach people what I know and help change people's lives through healthy living. I look forward to having a real job.
